In VS Code, Antigravity, Windsurf, Cline, Zed, JetBrains and Continue, zn-gate runs as an MCP server only: the agent calls it when it decides to. It is not automatic protection.

Add this server to your editor's MCP configuration:

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "zn-gate": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "zn-gate", "mcp"] }
  }
}
```

Where that file is and how each editor writes it: [Editors](https://usezn.com/docs/integrations/editors/).

## Protect the MCP servers you already use

zn-gate can also sit in front of the MCP servers in your configs: every result is checked for prompt injection, and secrets zn-gate recognizes are removed, before the agent sees it.

```bash
npx -y zn-gate init --dry-run    # preview, changes nothing
npx -y zn-gate init --wrap-mcp   # wrap them (a backup is written first)
npx -y zn-gate init --revert     # restore the latest backup
```

On Windows PowerShell, if npx says "running scripts is disabled on this system", use `npx.cmd` instead: see [Install](https://usezn.com/docs/install/#windows-powershell).
